Sparkle Sheffield join Mossbrook to improve the lives of pupils in Sheffield with Special Educational Needs. Sparkle will use Mossbrook as a hub base to host events and share their environment to meet more children's needs outside of the school hours.

We are thrilled to have Sparkle by our side.

Mossbrook School are supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal 2025

The class hoops are up to start our celebrations of Christmas. Each class have designed and created a hoop for our hall.

This includes our hub site who have made paper plate hoops for their smaller hall. It's looking very festive.

Here's a little video showing how we pulled together
to jazz up our very special school

In November 2025, Mossbrook had a visit from some amazing volunteers from the home office, Aviva, Amey and Fortem to help paint classrooms in school. Thank you for cheering up our environment.

Sustainability

Our school is deeply committed to sustainability and actively working to create a greener, more environmentally friendly school. We now have a small allotment at the front of the school where students grow fruit and vegetables for food technology sessions, promoting healthy eating and hands-on learning.

Throughout the school grounds, we are re-wilding areas to support local wildlife, and our recently stocked lake now hosts fish, with plans to repair the jetty to allow safer and better observation of the wildlife.

To reduce energy consumption, stickers have been placed on all light switches reminding everyone to turn them off when not in use.

We are also taking steps to embrace renewable energy, with plans to install solar panels on the roof.

Recycling is now fully integrated across the school, with clearly labelled bins for different types of waste.

Our sustainability efforts are strengthened through ongoing collaboration with volunteers and environmental organisations, ensuring that our grounds continue to flourish and support biodiversity.

We had a visit from a former student today, Cole. It was an absolute pleasure to have him in school and he is always welcome for future visits. An extra thank you to Kelly Clarke who supported the visit. See below for a photo with our wonderful past pupil.
